It is in these two phases that having the right experts in the room to facilitate requirements sessions, sit with key business users to understand how they will use the end product or working up a number of options to achieve the final goal are where we can add immediate value in most situations.

 

Having an expert who can plan, facilitate and provide workshop output for a day or two to allow clients key people to engage in the workshop instead of trying to run, document and take part not only increases buy in from internal staff but also allows value add where our consultant can also offer expert input on the subject and has devised a workshop plan that ensures all key goals are met.

 

One of our consultants sitting with and end user to discuss how they will use an end product and understanding how both your own and the wider industry processes work again saves time & effort. Our consultants are trained in questioning techniques which allow for open conversations with end users often leading to better solutions being found early in the process.

When it comes to solutions in the energy sector then our consultants or associates have experience with which components of your solution will work better with others, A recent example of this was an energy client looking at Smart and needed to know which Meter Manufacturer, Asset Provider, Meter Operator would work best with their CRM and DCC adapter provider. Our consultants were not only able to advise on this but also add extra value showing which combinations would shorten things like testing timescales and ensuring production installs earlier than anticipated.
